Today kicked off the beginning of Interview Days at Iowa State University! After a 6 hour drive (not so scenic) I met my wonderful hosts Amy and Annie, then we headed to the bowling alley to meet up with other candidates. Afterwards we had a potluck dinner hosted by current ELPS students. It was so much fun getting to know everybody. It hasn’t been a long day, but I’m already tired. Tomorrow we are going to learn more about the program, sit in on a class and have a campus tour. Friday we will have assistantship interviews all day. Super pumped!
Going to my second school for Interview Days this week. I leave Wednesday and get back late Friday night. I am super pumped to go and see what the program is like. Everyone keeps telling me that I will know when its the right ‘fit’, here’s to wondering if ISU will be that for me.

Rejection feels terrible. Let’s just get that out of the way. However, rejection is a part of life. I learned this lesson loud and clear during my grad school search two years ago.
